THE INCIDENT

I am the chairman of Protea heights body corporate and have been in communications with Dunmar security since 14 January 2010. I raised some issues with them in regards to reports that we have not received and the ongoing lateness of guard arrivals. On the 26th of January 2010 I was informed by Mrs du Val that she is actually the PA for the CEO and not responsible for queries this after 3 months of dealing with her personally, she advised on the same day that a dedicated guard will be placed at our complex to ensure guard arrives on time for duty. On 29 January 2010 18:30 I called Johan a representative of Dunmar due to guard not being on duty he informed be this was due to train strike but guard is on his way. To my surprise the guard clocked in on the Ob book at 18:00. On raising this issue and stopping all payments I received a email threatening legal action if not paid and that I should not make accusations of fraud towards their company. She informed that we need to remember that the guard track report is only activated once the guard starts patrolling, strange as some days the guard clocks in at right time? Questions raised on the electric fence but clarity was provided.
